Covance is recruiting Clinical Research Support personnel in Leeds.

“Research Support Personnel” work directly with healthy volunteers and have a mixture of administrative and technical responsibilities working from our Clinical Research Unit in Leeds.

No qualifications are required but we can support someone who would like to develop a career within our business. It is important you have a good work ethic and an enquiring mind.

The role should appeal to someone who is perceptive, enjoys working with people, has a good attention to detail, likes a variety of work and wants a steady job that can offer some career development. Our Research Support Personnel work on shift patterns as studies are running 24/7.

This is a “hands on” position within a very busy and rewarding environment. Working as part of a large trial team, you will play an active part in the execution of the clinical trials on behalf of our sponsors.

* Research Support related duties: (Please note we have a comprehensive training plan to support patient management)

* Accurately performs blood pressure, venipuncture, weights, pulse, respiratory rate, and temperature readings

* Preparation and accurate recording of ECGs/Holters

* Collection and processing of biological samples as specified in the protocol and ensures the proper distribution of those samples

* Monitors meals to ensure dietary compliance by research participants

* Assists in the preparation of rooms and medical equipment

* Assists with screening procedures as needed

* Maintains a clean, safe and efficient working and study environment

* Fosters respectful relationships with study participants

* Maintains constant awareness of participant safety and dignity at all times.

Administrative duties:

* Accurately records all research data

* Assists with Quality checking of documents

* Maintains an understanding of current regulatory requirements

* Attend and participate in meetings

* Assists with study procedures

* Maintains accurate records

* Handles participant complaints

* Ensures that client and participant confidentiality

* Responds to client and team queries

Requirements :

* No degree or formal education is required.

* Being able to work in a fast pace environment

* Good communication skills

* Good interpersonal skills

* Intermediate Word, Excel and Outlook

* Customer Service working Experience is preferred but not essential
