Job Overview

We have an excellent opportunity for a field based CRA to work with a top ten pharmaceutical company. Ideally based WEST of LONDON (along the M4 corridor), ideally South West UK or South Wales

We will consider monitors/CRAs/Clinical Research Associates who have come from an academic setting or from within the NHS and have taken part in investigator led studies.

This is a full time home based position in and around the South West UK area.

You would be permanently employed by Covance on PAYE salary and benefits, and seconded to our client (pharma partner).

Therapy area is Neurosciences, Respiratory and Ophthalmology

You would perform monitoring activities related to initiation, conduct (recruitment, quality data collection) and timely completion of Phase I-IV trials within the UK.

We are looking for a dynamic CRA – an individual who enjoys the thrill of building relationships with sites, is interested in career development and appreciates the benefits of being “employed” for example, career development opportunities hand in hand with Chiltern and our client.

You will receive full support in terms of line management/pastoral care, full administrative support, and access to excellent training in both soft skills and technical advancement courses.

Working within Neurosciences, Respiratory and Ophthalmology , this is a rolling and renewable contract starting as a 12 months secondment.

You would typically be monitoring around 2 days/week, sometimes more sometimes less. Sites are all very regional so travel distance is minimal but there will be multiple protocols.

IMPORTANTLY - We are looking for a CRA who has at least 12 months independent monitoring Experience at hospital sites either in the UK or Ireland. You may have been doing this within an academic setting and/or within an NHS trust - that is fine, as long as you have the independent monitoring skills to include site selection, initiation, monitoring and close out.

Education / Qualifications

Ideally you will have a life science degree.


Skills/Knowledge Required:

At least 12 months monitoring Experience in the UK within either the Pharma or CRO setting. We will also consider monitors who have come from an academic setting or from within the NHS and have taken part in investigator led studies.
