Job Overview

The Source Document Designer is responsible for creation and completion of source documents according to study timelines. The Source Document Designer serves as a resource to the sites in regards to source document needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ensures internal standards and client satisfaction in terms of quality and timeliness.
* Understands usage of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word in regards to creation of time and event grids, screening source documents, on-study logs and templates.
* Has the ability to read and understand study protocols and organize study events according to the protocol and Covance SOP's.
* Participates in client meetings, study initiation visits, and study update meetings as necessary.
* Assists in continual improvement and development of source documents and processes.
* Responds to queries on the source document review log in regards to monthly quality control.
* Understands good documentation practices.-
Principal Contacts:

* The Source Document Designer will interact with internal contacts such as study coordinators and project managers and serve as a resource for the sites' source document needs.

Education/Qualifications

Required:

* BS degree or equivalent.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Knowledge of data capture and data management is preferred.
* Knowledge of good documentation practices.

Experience

Required:

* Previous Experience in clinical research with an emphasis in Phase I.
* Additional Experience may be substituted for education requirements.
