Job Overview

Laboratory Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Responsible for providing day-to-day supervision of technologists, technicians, and laboratory aides.
* Perform regular Process audits on Laboratory staff.
* Provides orientation, performance feedback and annual evaluation for lab staff.
* Sets standards, policies, and guidelines for the efficient management of the laboratory.
* Initiates and monitors quality of laboratory procedures.
* Ensure the quality of service provided by team members meets the requirements of both internal and external clients.
* Instill in all team members the Company's commitment to quality and meeting the client's requirement without error, on time, every time.
* Work with study teams to ensure protocol specifications are followed.
* Ensure that Laboratory staff is trained and compliant with SOP's and Skills checks.
* Ensure that all training files are up to date and complete in accordance with SOPs and ICH/GCP.
* Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained and that safe working practices are employed.
* Ensure that full and accurate data records are maintained.
* Performs supervisory duties including but not limited to interviewing, hiring, training, intervention, discipline, and discharge of operations staff.
* Coaches and mentors staff. Initiates, plans and implements appropriate staff development programs.
* Continuously seeks out new and better ideas, driving best practices.

Requirements:

* BS in science.
* Six Sigma Green Belt is preferred.-
Additional Experience may be substituted for education requirements

* 3-4 years clinical Laboratory Experience .
* Supervisory Experience preferred.

Education / Qualifications

* BS in science.
