Job Overview

We are currently in search of a Senior IT Infrastructure, Project Manager of Cyber Security to join the Office of Information Security, reporting to the Director of Global Shared Services and Director of Security Engineering and Innovation at our Global Headquarters in Burlington, NC.

The Senior IT Infrastructure, Project Manager of Cyber Security will work across a variety of technical disciplines and partner with various teams to ensure risk is reduced and the enterprise security strategy is carried out. This position will also work closely with other security staff and may represent the interests of the broader Information Security team to the rest of the enterprise. The Senior IT Infrastructure, Project Manager of Cyber Security will manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of assigned projects, but not limited to the following:

* Consistently deliver high quality projects, on time, on budget, with agreed upon functionality
* Creates and manages a detailed project plan
* Ensures proper project execution of workflows, critical paths, and milestones
* Manages project scope and change control processes
* Manages the project's budget by creating monthly forecasts and analyzing and explaining variances
* Has financial accountability and ownership of all aspects of project financials including estimation, accruals, actuals, forecast, contingency and variances. This includes having an in-depth understand on each of these financial components and provide information on these at detail and executive levels. It also includes proactively managing the actuals (cost) on the project and taking corrective action as needed.
* Identifies resources needed, requests appropriate resources, and ensures appropriate staffing for the duration of the project to ensure efficient and successful project completion
* Records actual labor utilization on the project and creates resource utilization forecasts
* Effectively manages a diverse group of team members from the business, IT and external service providers
* Tracks project issues and ensures appropriate resolution
* Identifies, qualifies, and documents risks and puts in place appropriate mitigation strategies
* Reviews project deliverables to ensure high quality
* Reports project status to team, PMO, and management through regular status reports, management reports, and communication meetings
* Holds formal project reviews with management to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction
* Communicates effectively with all levels of staff and management
* Confronts issues openly and effectively
* Manages stakeholder expectations on scope, schedule, costs and quality


Bachelor's Degree or equivalent degree/Experience
PMP Certification highly desired



* Minimum 10 years' Experience in IT with VMware, Storage and networking expertise
* Minimum 4 years of IT project management Experience
* Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
* Superior oral and written communication skills
* Experience with managing large scale or complex IT projects
* IT Project management Experience focused on managing and implementing clinical IT application projects in a CRO/pharmaceutical environment (ie. drug safety, document management, clinical trial management, study selection/scheduling)


* Experience in setting and managing expectations and escalations to senior executives
* Infrastructure Security exp with Crowdstrike or a major antivirus
* Cisco Server Experience
* VMware expertise
* Storage Experience
* Networking Experience
