Job Overview

We are currently seeking an Experience d Pricing Analyst to join our team. If you have exceptional excel Experience and enjoy working with proposals, APPLY TODAY!

* Responsible for drafting, developing and presenting cost estimates in the Covance costing model based on the RFP and strategy discussions
* Reviews client Request for Proposals (RFPs) and protocols to identify specifications that impact cost, identify discrepancies in RFP documents and generate questions for operational teams and clients
* Attends and participates in proposal strategy and core team meetings

* Set cost estimate preparation milestones and track progress in accordance with timelines adopted during the strategy discussion
* Interact with the Proposal Team to ensure consistency between the written proposal document and the cost estimate

* Drafts cost estimates using Covance pricing model as well as data driven decision support tools, analytic techniques, RFP and strategy discussion outcomes
* Analyzes internal and external data in order to maximize new business creation while also managing to margin targets
* Empowers sales functions through effectively communicating details of trial pricing and ensuring needs of clients are met in the pricing process
* Manages the interplay between various internal functions in order to drive expeditious and high quality pricing output that requires input from a variety of internal functions

* Liaises with Vendors to obtain accurate and competitive quotes to meet client needs

* Drafts the assumptions document based on the RFP and strategy discussions and ensuring consistency between assumptions document and Covance costing model
* Updates the cost model and assumptions document based on feedback from operational department heads and other team members involved in the cost review process
* Finalizes the cost model and mapping to the client grid
* Work collaboratively with the operations, contracts and financial analyst teams to ensure that change orders are handled appropriately and accurately as well to provide guidance into the hours/resources/activities assumed within the budget

Education/Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a scientific, business or related field (or equivalent work Experience )

Experience

* 3-5+ years of direct CRO/pharma or other business-related Experience preferred
* Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact
* Demonstrated computer skills – requires excellent MS Office Experience (specifically Excel, Outlook)
* Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
* Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
* Experience in a scientific or logistics environment is a plus
* Proven ability to work independently
* Knowledge of other software applications (i.e. SFDC) preferred
* Ability to work to deadlines
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with clients
* Positive attitude and sense of urgency
* Advanced Excel skills (algorithms, macros, pivot tables, etc)
* Comfortability managing and analyzing large data sets through statistical technique
