At Covance, we offer opportunities to work on diverse, challenging projects with bright, interesting colleagues while building a flexible and rewarding career. We put our trust in science and in one another. This is your chance to become part of a team that helps to bring the miracles of medicine to market sooner, as Covance has helped pharmaceutical and biotech companies develop one-third of all prescriptions medicines in the market today.

The Role:

Our largest UK site in Harrogate is currently recruiting for a Reporting Associate to support the Biopharmaceutical Chemistry Manufacturing Controls (CMC) division. The CMC division provides end-to-end analytical solutions and testing services to ensure quality control of our clients manufactured drug products. Once this testing is complete, it brings our clients one-step closer to successfully launching that drug product on the market; helping bring medicine to patients.

As the Reporting Associate, in the first instance you be responsible for the following:

* Completing a report group specific training module.
* Preparing Certificate of Analysis and Stability Tables for all sections of BioCMC, using department specific templates stored on our forms directory and Study Protocols.
* Addressing Quality Assurance inspection items on GMP-regulated studies.
* Performing Quality Control checks of draft Certificate of Analysis and Stability tables for a wide variety of clients, prior to a QA review.
* Reviewing the reporting schedule and department workflow database daily and making adjustments to ensure client expectations are met.
* Working according to department SOPS and participating in weekly group meetings where you share ideas of process improvements within the group.
* Liaising with Lead Scientists and QC scientists as well as QA to complete day-to-day activities.

As part of progression as a Reporting Associate you will also begin to shadow more senior members of the group and will begin to train in QC checking of more complex reports.

What Covance can offer you:

* Competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.
* The ability to develop a successful career in Science.

Education / Qualifications

* Ideally the candidate will have a scientific background, possessing an A level in Science (or equivalent educational standard).

Experience

*Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Project).

*An understanding of health and safety policies and of GMP/GLP/GCP.

*The post holder should be able to communicate effectively at all levels and integrate well within an established team.
