The Role:

Our largest UK site in Harrogate is currently recruiting for several Laboratory Analysts to join the Bioanalysis division. The laboratory analyst will join the Large Molecule Bioanalysis team and will be responsible for performing analytical testing on large molecule drug products using ELISA techniques.

Using ELISA methods, you will test samples to determine analyte concentrations in immunotoxicology samples or to determine if patients have developed an immunoreaction to the drug. Performing this analysis, you will support our pharmaceutical and biotech clients through the pre-clinical and clinical trial drug development process.

As the Laboratory Analyst, you will work as part of a team alongside other lab analysts, study managers and project managers to perform bioanalytical testing services on large molecule drug products in accordance with GLP & GCP regulatory requirements. You will work as a group to perform the analysis in accordance with approved methods to deliver client projects. As well as performing the ELISA testing, you will also be responsible for data analysis and interpretation.

Finally, you will have responsibility for SOP (standard operating procedure) writing as well as working on process improvement projects for the division to ensure the best possible service is delivered.

Education / Qualifications

* Scientific degree (Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences etc.)

* OR 3 to 5 years relevant scientific industry Experience .


*Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Project).

*An understanding of health and safety policies and of GMP/GLP/GCP.

*The post holder should be able to communicate effectively at all levels and integrate well within an established and fast growing team.

*Knowledge of ELISA techniques.
