The Role:

* An internship in the department gives the opportunity to work with Covance's site of scientific excellence for Genetic Toxicology. The intern will join one of the teams within the department and will be responsible for supporting a variety of assays under the supervision of lab and study supervisors. They will develop a variety of laboratory skills working on different study types in compliance with local SOP's and to GLP standards. Interns will work as part of a team and learn to plan their time to meet client timelines

* You will learn the following:
* A good understanding of GLP, generating data in compliance with GLP regulations
* Skills in a variety of different laboratory techniques with ability to perform Genetic Toxicology assays
* Good time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize your own work to meet tight deadlines whilst maintaining the highest standards of work.
* Effective communication skills; a co-operative and team orientated approach

Education / Qualifications

Minimum Criteria:

* * Be studying for an Undergraduate degree Biomedical sciences, biology or similar.
* * A willingness to learn,
* * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team,
* * Great attention to detail,
* * Good communication skills


* Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to utilise word-processing software, databases, spreadsheet and specialised software.
* Knowledge and understanding of GLP and aseptic techniques would be preferable.
