Job Overview

* Perform blood draws including exsanguinations on specific species according to protocol and client request
* Daily observations of anaimsl health status
* Good documentation practices
* Assist in with receiving of aniamals into animal facility
* Adhere to strict SOP's, assist with review and update of applicable SOP's
* Understand the care and husbandry requirements of the animals according to the Guide
* Perform various types of inoculations on all species with assistance pertaining to your work area
* Cleaning of building, cages, walls, floors, and daily clean-up of designated areas
* Daily feeding of all species
* Assist with projects under the Bio-Safety cabinet or laminar flow hood if applicable
* Must be able to receive training with specific animals, such as: Non-human primates, swine, canines, and ferrets, felines in addition to rodents, rabbits and guinea pigs if applicable.
* Completed weekend/holiday feeding duties
* Capable of working in ABSL-2 conditions if applicable

The rate of pay for this position starts at $13.00/hour and benefits are included.

Education/Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

* Some computer skills
* Consistent work history
* Experience in the aniamal care industries helpful
