Job Overview

* Responsible to provide project support in regards to writing and maintaining validation and supporting documentation.

* Responsible to work with clients to document project requirements.

* Responsible to ensure appropriate support on existing technical tools and solutions deployed across different functional areas.

* Responsible to assist Application Developers and Solution Architects with unit testing and formal test execution.

* Key responsibilities include:

* Work with Solutions Architects to produce detailed specifications for new solutions or modifications to existing solutions.

* Work with internal and external clients to gather and document project requirements.

* Work with Quality Assurance on validation procedures.

* Manage the Covance Unified System Life Cycle (CUSLC) validation process and all related documentation for new and existing solutions.

* Monitor and triage the request intake process.

* Perform periodic reviews of existing solutions, in accordance with CUSLC requirements.

* Write, maintain and document scripts as needed in support of applications and solutions development.

* Assist in testing and validation of new systems and enhancements to existing systems, including unit testing and formal Test Plan execution.

* Prepare training manuals, user guides and other supporting documentation for users.

* Author training material, including outlines, presentations, handouts, tests and exercises.

* Support a culture of continuous improvement, quality and productivity.
* Support the long term needs of CLS functional areas based on the defined strategic roadmap.

* Effective and timely adherence to management communications, meetings, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).


* Associate degree required, Bachelors preferred in information technology, project management or information systems.


* Minimum 3 years' Experience supporting clinical trials or 3 years in information technology project management
* Strong negotiation skills to facilitate, guide, influence and produce a unified approach within a global cross-functional environment
* Conversant with databases and database terminology
* Strong and proven ability to use computer and office software applications
