THE JOB

We are currently recruiting for a Client Services Supervisor/ Team Lead to join the rapidly expanding team at our nutritional testing lab in Harrogate.

Acting as the Client Services Ambassador, you will be accountable for coordinating client requests and the continued development of key client relationships, providing timely information and solution for clients (quotations, RFI, proposals, pricing, Covance capabilities, status, sample submission, etc).

In this exciting opportunity, we will trust you to supervise a client facing team responsible for providing project management and daily customer communication. Your responsibilities will include:

* Team coordination: work scheduling, performance evaluation, career development and preparation of training plans.
* Quality control activities for peers and less Experience d staff.
* Training and guidance to less Experience d staff on interpretation of a RFP/quote/protocol.
* Mentoring your team on effective interactions with Clients, Covance Account Executives and other functional areas.

This is a client facing role, actively coordinating and leading client visits and conference calls

Education / Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Science, or equivalent degree.

Experience

We need you to have demonstrable working direct Experience with food testing or high intensity scientific customer service.

You bring sound knowledge of chemistry and microbiology testing requirements, and ideally team coordination skills.

Important skills for this role are:
- Excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to be persistent while maintaining tact

* Thick-skinned – ability to receive and deliver difficult news
* Demonstrated computer skills – requires excellent MS Office Experience (specifically Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Demonstrated ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize
* Demonstrated teamwork, communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently combining multiple deadlines
* Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with internal and external clients
