Job Overview

Covance is hiring a Senior Trainer for our San Diego office with entry level or intermediate Experience .

We are looking for creative, ambitious, project-oriented instructional designers to be a part of our collaborative, close-knit team with the mission to help our clients improve patient health by facilitating access to medical innovations. We work with a wide-range of clients to develop and deploy training strategies infused with adult learning and instructional design best practices to take staff development to the next level.

The ideal candidate for this role will use analytical and creative problem solving skills to design and develop communications solutions to convey complex ideas in clear and simple terms and visuals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as a consultative approach are required.

Additional Job Responsibilities include:

* Drive training material development through the ability to convert complex ideas into visually appealing concepts.
* Develop processes, policies and procedures with Manager guidance.
* Maintain and update training programs as needed to stay current with business requirements.
* Work with key stakeholders to develop training and communications strategies and solutions to achieve critical business objectives.
* Deliver training on an as-needed basis to train subject matter experts and trainers.
* Provide support and troubleshooting for training issues when necessary.
* Conduct Train-the-Trainer workshops.
* Conduct quarterly internal training audit process, maintaining and updating training programs in collaboration with management and subject matter experts to stay current with business requirements.
* Analyze and report on training program effectiveness. Develop recommendations to improve existing working methods based on results of analysis.
* Oversee maintenance of the training team website with current documents and materials.
* Mentor new trainers and business analysts on instructional design and adult learning best practices.

Bachelor's Degree is required as well as the following:

* Customer service orientation and commitment to quality customer interactions.
* Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong presentation skills, knowledge of business protocol, time management and organizational skills.
* Proficiency with research tools, including internet technology.
* Demonstrated analytical skills.
* Must be able to appropriately handle confidential information.


2+ years of Experience in the job discipline.
