Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for an Innovation Lead to join our Immunotoxicology & Immunology (I&I) team in Greenfield. Covance's work in developing new pharmaceutical solutions has an incredible impact on the lives of millions worldwide. Be a part of this life-saving work.

This role:

* Partners with the Global Immunology Leader to ensure scientific excellence, quality, and on time delivery are hallmarks of the department.
* Develops a strategic plan for business expansion that identifies the areas that the department will concentrate its capital investments to achieve scientific innovation that meets business growth objectives.
* Supervises and leads the Global Innovation Team, including the Assay/Method Development, Assay/Method Validation and System Validation staff.
* Consults and collaborates with staff at other Covance sites as a leader of the global I&I team.
* Is a subject matter expert for I&I and consults with clients on studies placed with the Safety Assessment, Metabolism and Lead Optimization (SAMLO) Department.
* Manages the portfolio of new Assay/Methods to be developed and validated for the I&I group, including prioritization, resource assignment and timing of new assays/method development and delivery.
* Tactically assigns resources within the Innovation Team, implements programs, and drives process improvement to assure financial and budget expectations are met.

What we're looking for in you:

PhD or DMV preferred, or equivalent degree plus 3-5 years of Experience or

Master's or Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus 10 -12 years of Experience .

* Drug development Experience is required.
* Experience in regulated GLP/GCP environment is required.
* Prior I&I or equivalent procedures, method development, and validation Experience required. Additional Experience with Immunology lab instrumentation for Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Cell Culture, and ELISPOT is preferred.
* Skilled in performing presentations.
* Skilled time management, planning and budgeting.
* Experience d in leading and developing people.
* Experience leading meetings is required.

Education/Qualifications
