Entry Level Lab Technician - Immunology Services

Recent Science grads! Are you ready to start your career in the world of drug discovery? Covance's Immunology Services is seeking an Entry Level Lab Technician for their growing team in Denver, PA.

Individuals with previous lab Experience is preferred, but not required. Knowledge and Experience of basic scientific principles, documentation of work and pipetting are essential.

In this role you will...

* Learn how to conduct anitbody purification with supervision and progress to running purifications without supervision.
* IgG purification using Protein A or Protein G column chromatography.
* Antigen specific IgG purification using affinity chromatography.
* Purification of IgY from chicken eggs.

* Conduct data analysis, ensure quality control, internal record keeping, client correspondence and product packaging.

* Run ELISA

In addition you will be expected to...

* Follow all established Quality Assurance procedures including environmental checks and recordings, equipment maintenance and use logs and documentation of all procedures.
* Follow procedural SOP's and Good Documentation Practices.
* Prepare buffers and solutions.
* Contribute to maintaining Lab and equipment cleanliness.
* Help maintain supply inventory
* Follow all established safety standards for the department.

Education/Qualifications

Bachelor of Science preferred in biology, chemistry, biochemistry or closely related field
