The role of the informatics team is to lead breakthrough innovations that will unlock the power of this data to help pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies bring the miracles of medicine to the people in need faster and more efficiently.

As a key member of the Informatics team, you will be responsible for testing the development of high performing and aesthetically pleasing software solutions designed for web and mobile delivery to enable scalable, secure and intuitive access to data by Covance's global network of employees, partners, and clients. Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will help drive quality by working with internal and external engineering teams to ensure adherence to requirements and industry regulations.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and present Integration and System test strategies for project and maintenance releases of software solutions.
* Guide and mentor junior testers and contractors on the execution of test scrips
* Write and execute Integration, Regression, and System test scripts.
* Ensure compliance with validation procedures and standards.
* Provide technical guidance to performance testers.
* Develop and execute data quality checks of the production systems.

Education/Qualifications

* BS/MS in computer science, information systems, life sciences, or work equivalent.

Experience

* Has good Experience in reading and understanding requirements, testing automation, quality assurance and integration methodologies.

* Individual must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and have demonstrated good problem solving and analytical skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively as a team member and can work with limited or most of the times no supervision on projects.
* The candidate needs to demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects.
* Proven ability to follow priorities and timelines.
* 5+ Years Experience working with formal Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
* 3+ Years Experience in analyzing requirements and designing and executing test strategies.
* 2+ years Experience in mentoring testing teams.
* 2+ years Experience developing test strategies
* SQL development Experience is a plus

Preferred:

* Experience in pharmaceutical R&D, clinical development and/or healthcare IT.
