Job Overview

Covance is recruiting for a Senior Manager, Contract Management for its Market Access team. Duties and responsibilities include the following:

- Perform contract management tasks on high complexity or strategic client projects, as required
- Provide supervisory oversight to direct reports and other staff within Contract Management (e.g., scheduling, performance evaluation, workload leveling, project allocation, compliance to process and metrics, recruitment and selection of new employees).
- Provide technical direction and guidance to direct reports and other Contract Management staff on contract management issues.
- Motivate, mentor, train and develop direct reports and other Contract Management staff.
- Assist direct reports and other Contract Management staff in the negotiation of signature documents.
- Provide guidance to Contract Management team on issue resolution and trouble shooting.
- Provide final review and execution of signature documents in accordance with the Contract Management review guidelines.
- Coordinate and lead Business Unit only or multi-unit MSA negotiations.*
- Represent the department at internal meetings, client meetings, training sessions and presentations.
- Identify new departmental processes and improvements required to existing departmental processes. Manage development and implementation of processes.
- Assist Director of Contract Management with contract management strategic initiatives.
- Lead training of new staff, as required.
- Adhere to contract management processes

Education/Qualifications

BA or BS in business or life science (or equivalent Experience )

Experience

6 years in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry with 6 years contract management expense.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory Experience required
