Job Overview

Research Associate I - Immunotoxicology

This is an exciting time to join our new and growing Immunology & Imunotoxicology department as a Research Associate I or Sr. Research Assistant. There is a large investment into seeing this department grow and succeed at a global level. Position is located in Madison, WI. Relocation Package Available.

Make use of your immunotox and method development skills by joining our team of scientists dedicated to making strides in early stage drug development and biologics. Expert level EIA and/or flow cytometry skills are a must.

In this role you will...

* Maintain study documentation and laboratory records,
* Assist in evaluation of data for incorporation into written reports.
* Participate in corrective action of any problems and/or deviations that may affect integrity of data.
* Set up and perform method development, validation and transfer of various Immunotoxicology assays under the guidance of Technical Leader or supervisor.
* Perform complex immunotoxicology asssays using unfamiliar or new methods, organizng and analysing the results.
* Provide input and participate in project meetings, plans, monitors and guides project work.
* Serve as a lead technician on projects- train, mentor, and assist less Experience d staff.
* Participate in client visits as needed, assists in communicating technical information.
* Effectively plans and utilizes personnel and resources for timely completion of assigned projects.
* Be aware of appropriate regulation guidelines for PD, PK TK etc
* Participate in the introduction of new techniques, methodologies and relevant procedures in collaboration with other Senior Managers.

Education/Qualifications

* Bachelor of Science/Arts (BS/BA) or Masters of Science (MS) degree in Biology/Chemistry or related scientific field

Experience

* 6-10 years related or relevant laboratory Experience required
* Skilled in conducting research, data interpretation, and writing reports.
* Experience and knowledge of relevant instrumentation.
* Some Experience in performing scientific presentation and preparing scientific publications.
* Demonstrated leadership skills
* Prior Experience in I&I procedures, method development, and validation preferred.
* Knowledge of GLPs and regulatory agencies is required.
* Ability to interact effectively with all staff and management levels.
* Problem solving and decision making skills.

Strong English writing and communication skills
