Essential Position Duties

* Owns the successful execution of all clinical trial studies involving Clinical FSPx Operations in all countries throughout the Region.
* Development and execution of study facets (ie. start-up, monitoring, etc), productivity improvements plans, process improvement innovation, GCP compliance, quality monitoring results and Investigator Site oversight in alignment to all contracted and Regulatory obligations.
* Owns in collaboration with the Resource Management team and executive colleagues to ensure maximum efficiency in supply and demand of talent required to deliver contracted trial commitments.
* Responsible for building, developing and recruiting highly motivated clinical operations and country leadership team members with a high-performance culture and significant scalability
* Lead the regional implementation of the division Quality Management Plan.
* Ensures the region is operating in a state of inspection readiness, TMF readiness and adhering to the CAPA management process
* Co-owns, with the regional Business Development team, all regionally based clients senior level relationships, and the annual growth in orders attainment.
* Owns the successful regional implementation of the division strategy, and participates in the future development and creation of revisions and new strategies, initiatives, actions, tactics.
* Responsible for the review and development of the regional geographic optimization model. Creates growth and contraction plans in partnership with other functional areas to ensure consistent BU goal alignment.
* Oversee the introduction and successful integration of new technologies and process improvements, and measurement thereof.
* Travel - up to 35% of the time.

Education Requirements:

· MBA, PhD or M.D. (MBA and Science combination is preferred) Level of education required (or Experience level which may be substituted for level of education).


Minimum Required:

The position requires you to possess significant Experience in leading large-scale clinical trial operations and organizations, managing a regional country management structure, and delivering exceptional client performance for a pharmaceutical services-oriented CRO business. You will have a proven track record as an agent of change in challenging environments and in fostering a confident and capable workforce.

* Executive Experience in the pharmaceutical services industry, with strong preference for Phase II - IIIb executive drug development operational leadership Experience
* 10+ years management Experience in clinical operations with regional Experience ; bilingual English and regional significant language would be a strong asset we would value
* Previous Experience in managing a Cost Center, Functional Cost Budget, and / or P&L with solid Experience in planning and executing the large-scale, complex budget of a large organization
* Strong leadership-level Experience with a billable-hours services business and utilization productivity
* Leadership Experience in a shared services and global matrix management environment.
* Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate with a highly scientific management team.
* Demonstrated executive operational performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibility delivered successfully
* Senior-level writing skills, oral communication and interpersonal skills—both small-room and large-stage –- a motivator
* Must be able to recruit and develop leadership two levels down with a disciplined execution of HR processes and leadership succession plans.
* Must be able to lead regionally and be globally aligned for the larger good of the BU
